Shipping

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, we offer free shipping on all orders within the Continental United States. For customers outside of the Continental US, such as in Hawaii or Alaska, as well as international customers, additional shipping fees may apply.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship all over the world. While we offer free shipping within the Continental US, additional fees may apply to customers who live outside of the Continental US.

International customers should note that any import taxes or duties incurred at customs are their responsibility.

What shipping carrier do you use?

Our preferred carrier is FedEx and we use them for the majority of our shipments.

Can I track my order?

Yes, once your order is shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number, allowing you to monitor your rug’s journey to your doorstep.

Can I purchase the rug now and delay the shipping to a later date?

Yes, we are able to accomodate this. This is common in case a customer is planning on moving to a new location, or will be on vacation. If you would like to us to arrange for the shipping to a later date, you can either add a note to your order when you place it, or send us an email to [email protected].

How are orders packed?

Each rug is folded and rolled compactly and tied with twine. All shipments are then wrapped in multiple layers of thick plastic to avoid getting wet and to prevent other potential damage from occurring, ensuring a safe delivery to their new home.

Can you ship to a P.O. Box?

Given the size of the rugs, generally speaking we will not be able to ship to a P.O. Box. (Exceptions can be made if the rug is very small, such as size 2x3 ft).

Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?

If you need to change your shipping address, please contact us as soon as possible via phone or email ([email protected]).

Returns & Refunds

Do you accept returns? 

Yes, we gladly accept returns and exchanges, provided the customer contacts us within 14 days of delivery and ships the item back within 30 days of delivery. Please note that we will note be able to accept returns on international purchases.

How can I initiate a return?

To initiate a return, simply contact us at [email protected].

What are the conditions for returns?

The item should be returned in its original condition. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Are there any restrictions on returns?

If a customer has requested that we perform an alteration on the rug, we cannot accept any returns after the alteration has been performed.  Also, there are a few items which do not accept returns, this will be noted in the description of that particular product. 

Also, for rugs weighing more than 150 pounds (select rugs in our "Oversized" collection), we ask that customers review their purchase carefully, as we do not recommend returns, since preparing the rug for a return shipment is difficult and the shipping cost will be costly, so customers should try to ask all questions before their purchase of an oversized rug.

Additionally, if an agreement is reached involving a partial refund, then the item will no longer be eligible for further refunds or returns. This ensures clarity and finality for both parties once an agreement is made.

What form will I receive my refund in?

We will refund your original form of payment.

Who pays the return shipping costs?

We provide free shipping to the Continental US. However, the return shipping cost is the responsibility of the buyer.

Do you have any restocking fees?

No, under normal circumstances we do not charge any restocking fee.  Returns outside of our normal policies may be subject to a restocking fee.

What happens if I damage the rug and then return it?  

To receive a full refund, the rug must be in the original condition in which it is sent.  If the rug received damage while in the possession of the customer, or during the return process, this will be deducted from the refund depending on the severity and extent of the damages.

What happens if I do not pick up my package upon delivery, or if I refuse the package that is sent, and it sent back to the shipper?

Items not picked up upon delivery, or are refused by the recipient, and are then returned back to seller will be considered forfeited.  In this case there is no refund to the customer.

Payments & Pricing

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept a variety of payment methods, including all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), and PayPal. All payment methods can be seen and selected during checkout.

Do you charge sales tax?

Orders shipped outside of New York State are not subject to sales tax. Sales tax is only applied to orders shipped to addresses within New York State. The tax rate is determined by your shipping address and will be calculated at checkout.

Do you offer flexible payment plans?

The majority of our customers choose to pay in full when they first make their order. However, we do also offer more flexible payment plans for customers who are interested in that.

There a few options for this. The first our "Pay In Installments" option, which allows customers to split their purchase into 4 payments.  For more information regarding this payment option, please visit our Pay In Installments page.

The other option we have available is a layaway plan.  Under this option, the customer can divide their payment into 3 - 6 payments over the time frame that they request, until 4 months.  After receiving the full payment, we will ship out the rug.  For help setting up a payment plan, please contact us at [email protected], with the item title/SKU, the requested number of payments, and the requested time frame to complete the payments. Do you offer discounts for interior designers or trade professionals?

Yes, we offer special discounts for interior designers and trade professionals. If you are an interior designer, please contact us directly with your credentials.

Rug Care

How do I care for and maintain my rug?

To keep your rug looking its best, regular vacuuming is essential. When vacuuming, avoid setting the beater bar too low, as this can damage the fibers. If possible, use a vacuum with a height-adjustable beater bar, and set it to a higher level to gently clean the rug without causing wear. For spills, blot the area immediately with a clean, dry cloth, and avoid rubbing to prevent spreading. Professional cleaning is recommended every 1-2 years to maintain the rug’s beauty and longevity.

Should I use a rug pad with my rug?

Yes, using a rug pad is recommended. A rug pad not only prevents slipping but also extends the life of your rug by reducing friction between the rug and the floor. It also adds extra cushioning for a more comfortable feel underfoot. We especially recommend rug pads for Kilim and flatweave rugs, as these rugs are thinner, and a rug pad provides more grip to help keep them securely in place.

Do you carry rug pads?

Yes, we carry high-quality rug pads that provide added grip, cushioning, and protection for your rug, ensuring it stays securely in place while extending its lifespan. These rug pads are also safe for all floor types, including hardwood, tile, and laminate. If you purchase a rug pad together with a rug, we can custom cut the rug pad to perfectly fit the dimensions of your rug. We primarily operate online, and we have offices on Long Island and NYC, along with a warehouse in Queens, NY. We serve customers across the United States and internationally, providing them with access to exquisite rugs no matter where they are located.

While we primarily operate online, we do have a warehouse in Queens, NY, where you can view rugs in person by appointment.
